Jumpers For Goalposts - 'We sing songs and smile as we face down the rain' - of which there may be a bit in their native Glasgow. But don't get off on a lazy Travis comparison... they do share some sincere, folk pop nuances but these observationalist tunesmiths pursue a far fierier, more energetic muse. Wonderful passion.
The Mooches - Sprightly hook-laden indie pop with a nod to new wave and power pop, featuring superb, up-beat catchy tunes, great stuff indeed.
The Vivettes - girl/boy band playing garage rock, sixties pop and punk rock intermingled exquisitely with big hitting drums and searing guitar. Part Nuggets part Brill Building. Boom.
Dinnair - electronica and triphop elements primed with pulsating noir pop - the delicious and decadent vehicle of the very talented Johanna Bowes, opening this eclectic Friday night of great artists.
