Abbey Moon - shimmering guitars and plaintive crooning on some impressively melodic and progressive slow burning material, juxtaposed with explosive, upbeat indie pop numbers. Superb stuff.
Slow Life - sweetly psychedelic scally pop with some fabulous jaunty tunes that have ear worm potential aplenty. Could be a Blur for these times. Brill.
The Black Roses - great guitars and rambuncious tunes kick down the doors and slap you round the face. Elements of The Verve and The Strokes and the desert twang of the Allah Las. Excellent.
Three fantastic bands from the hood- not to be missed.
